Zeus400 - Documentation and other Important Notes & Topics

The High Voltage VESC space asks a lot of our parts. Our hardware is being pushed to the limits, wiring varies from one garage to the next, and a single weak link can kill the controller, the battery, or both. The Zeus400 is our answer for that: A 32s controller that's built to behave the same way on every board, and every ride.

It starts with the PCB. Everything lives on one board, which makes the Zeus400 simple to install and easy to service. The fuse is onboard, rated 50 A. The battery plugs straight into a built-in XT60 with a retaining clip. Motor phases bolt onto M4 screw terminals for a solid, tool-tight connection.

The power stage is built with margins in mind. Twelve Infineon OptiMOS 6 150 V Fets are cooled into the Aluminum box as the heat sink. Bulk capacitance is 1,080µF, 40% more than before, to keep the board steady under hard acceleration and regen. And the rest is already there;

  • VESC Express onboard, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • 6-axis IMU
  • Isolated CAN
  • Two USB-C ports
  • Addressable daisy chained Status, Front, and Rear headlight ports.

This ships tested and set up. Open the lid, connect your battery, run your motor calibration and IMU set up, and then let's ride.
