Compatible parts for the X7!

"What parts are compatible with my X7?"

This question is one we hear very often, so I decided to make a detailed write up on what parts are compatible with the X7, and what does "compatibility" mean for our boards.

What comes stock on the X7?

The X7 Series come stock with a few snazzy parts;

X7 RAILS - These are canted rails similar to WTF rails from TheFloatLife or Recurve rails from Future Motion. They have a 4.20 degree angle on both sides, keeping you locked in to the pocket of the board. These rails also have four mounting positions- High, Low, then Criss Cross in both directions. These rails are highly versatile! We also sell an X10 variant which is designed for BTG builds (more on this below)

STOMPIE FOOTPADS - After a long time in the making we have finally arrived at a stable and predicate sensor design. These footpads are a injection molded design with an footpad LED slot and Airtag on the underside! Due to the ergonomics of the footpad these require adapting pieces for the fender (more on this below)

DANG BUMPERS - These are our newest bumpers that come stock on X7s! DANG Bumpers are made from an industrial grade hardened polyethylene- a hybrid between HDPE and UHMWPE. These bangs are slick and smooth. However these weren't designed to compete with TheFloatLife's BANG Bumpers. We love TFL

THUNDER TIRE - The Thunder Tire is our stock tire which is a medium-soft hybrid tire.

What's compatible with the X7?

The X7 is built around the ORGIINAL XR frame (Not to be confused with the XR CLASSIC) This means that a LOT of the older parts built around the XR frame still work perfectly here! Like fenders, bumpers, and footpads. But this is a technicality because the design of our parts may conflict with some of the older design philosophies of the OG XR. Let's walk through each one.

RAILS - All XR based rails work with the X7. This means XR homebrewed rails, WTF rails, Varials, etc. This also means BTG rails like BTG WTFs, X10 rails, or crazy Matix 12x8 rails. The X7 drive train has enough slack in it's controller / battery boxes to be pulled to size for any rail set up you'd need. At the moment we do not have rail guards for X7/10 rails.

FOOTPADS - Nearly all XR footpads fit our board and frame, but there are some slight conflicts. Both the XR and X7 use the same connector for the footpad connector, however you'll need a longer footpad connector to reach to our port- the STOCK XR connector is just too short.

BUMPERS - Our boards come with DANG Bumpers which are our take on BANG Bumpers. BANG Bumpers will fit your X7, however you'll need to purchase the TORQUE Bang Bumper variant. The newest generation of X7s have a larger battery box which needs the larger Torque Bang Bumper to fit. The front Bang Bumper however will fit just fine! The STOCK XR bumpers will not fit.

TIRES - The base model of the X7 is designed to fit standard 11x7-6 tires. The Superflux motor has a 6" diameter so nearly all 6" tires will fit. However BTG tires will NOT fit the X7 rails, you'll need X10 rails to accommodate bigger, girthier tires.

What fenders are compatible with the X7?

As I mentioned above the Stompie Footpads require an adapter piece to fill the gap in between the footpad and wheel. I also mentioned that some parts aren't directly compatible with the X7 due to older design philosophies, so basic fenders designed for the straight railed XR won't work due to the geometry of the X7 rails. Enter the adapter pieces of the stompie footpads. Here's a bunch of adapter pieces you can print yourself! It's important to note that some fender options may be rendered incompatible based on the rail position of your board.

A stock X7 will come with basic fender deletes, but there are a multitude of other options for your fender deletes including mini fenders, fender adapters, and DTF fenders! I will link a few down below and then explain their functions! Please note that there are options for both X7 and X10 rails.

FENDER DELETES

FENDER DELETES: Both of these are basic geometry fender deletes to fill the fender adapter area with style. There's a few ways to be able to accomplish this, but at the moment we do not have our own. The easiest way is to get a set from Zinc (A major Fungi collaborator)
