Firstly, we want to thank you for joining this project and community. This project has been built on the back of hundreds of hours of laborious work, time, and experimentation from countless people. You're not just buying a product, but joining a movement. We're glad to have you here, let's get started! There's a few things you should do before you even start riding.

||| DO NOT UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE IF PROMPTED! ||| If you receive a complete board or standalone ESC, VESC TOOL may prompt you to update. Do not do this. If your board is already set up, updating with completely wipe your board of it's preconfigured settings. You will have to debug & reprogram your device. You can press ignore and move past it.

We also post semi regular updates on our products, issues, and what're we are generally doing at the moment. This controller is a flagship controller in Fungineer related products such as our Complete Controller Box modules and preassembled boards. This controller was built by and for the Vesc based, Onewheel community. VERY IMPORTANT NOTES FOR INSTALLATION OF THOR400'S

Please be mindful of the exposed mosfets, improper mounting of the controller may lead to the shorting of critical components
You MUST use a discharge fuses rated for your battery. You risk controller failures that will lead to thermal runaways if not using a fuse.
You MUST have an ERPM limit on this controller. A freespin on a HIGH VOLTAGE controller can damage critical components

Everything you need to know about: The GTFO kit

The GTFO kit is a complete GT overhaul VESC kit that will replace the controller, BMS, AND motor of your current GT build. This will take your mid GT build and put it on par with a high voltage VESC. This kit is the closest you can get to plug and play. And YES! This WILL work with your XRC!

The parts that come with the GTFO kit are;

Superflux High Speed VS High Torque- Which one do you want?

Fungineers offers two versions of their SuperFlux hub motor: High Speed (HS) and High Torque (HT). Both are designed for the Funwheel or Onewheel conversions, but they cater to different performance needs.

High Speed (HS) Version:

Ideal for medium voltage batteries: If you have an 18S or 20S Battery, the HS is the better choice as speeds of up to 30mph or more can be reached with our Thor301 ESC.
Torque: Over 50 Nm, providing substantial acceleration and hill-climbing ability even for heavy weight riders. This motor far out classes any others in the scene, there is no lack of torque here.
Ideal For: Riders seeking high-speed performance, suitable for racing setups and those aiming for maximum speed. This motor gives you the perfect balance of headroom speed and generous amounts of torque.

High Torque (HT) Version:

Ideal for High voltage batteries: If you have an 20S Battery or above, the HT is the better choice as speeds of up to 30mph can be reached with our Thor400 ESC, and insane amounts of torque can be available at low speed.
Top Speed: With a 20S battery (pre-build Funwheel Sport) Around 22-25+ mph can be achieved with Field weakening.
Torque: Exceeds 80 Nm, offering enhanced acceleration from a standstill and improved hill-climbing efficiency. This

The VFBMS32 (or VBMS) is a BMS made by Benjamin Vedder from VESC and Fungineers. This is a highly sophisticated, charge only, Smart BMS module with Bluetooth and Canbus communications.

Important SET UP information;

ENABLE "BLOCK SLEEP" ON FIRST CONNECTION - If you don't have this enabled, the VBMS will never wake up upon the initial connection. Make sure this is disabled afterwards.
CONNECTION ORDER- Battery XT30 first, followed by the balance leads LOWEST to HIGHEST. YOU MUST CONNECT EVERYTHING UNDER 30s for the BMS TO INITALIZE! Temp sensors and CAN connections have no connection order preference / timer.
DISCONNECTION ORDER - Balance leads HIGHEST to LOWEST first, followed by the Battery XT30. No timer here, and the peripheral wires don't have a preference.
You may need to set up your IC CHIP values and TEMP SENSORS according to your pack.
Update your BMS by reflashing the FIRMWARE first, then the VBMS 32 MICRO PACKAGE.
To be able to see your BMS data thru CAN on your Thor/ Controller, please go to Motor Config > BMS > and set it to VESC BMS, and Write the settings.
