Everything you need to know about: The GTFO kit

The GTFO kit is a complete GT overhaul VESC kit that will replace the controller, BMS, AND motor of your current GT build. This will take your mid GT build and put it on par with a high voltage VESC. This kit is the closest you can get to plug and play. And YES! This WILL work with your XRC!

(This install video is a bit outdated, it's still using the Thor300 and has older hardware. But you can still use this as reference!)

The parts that come with the GTFO kit are;

  • The Thor301 with a GT mounting plate

The Thor is mounted via M3 Allen screws, the plate is mounted via M2 Allen screws.

  • The GTFO 12v RGB lighting kit

A 12v RGB status bar. LED count 10. Is an adapter for the power button and potential can-bus from the rear (can-bus currently unsupported).

A 12v RGB front status bar. LED count 14.

A 12v RGB rear bar. LED count 15.

The LEDs on Thor's work in a chain; STATUS - FRONT - REAR. In this case most of the inputs are routed through the status bar itself.

  • A Li-Tech supported Drop-in Smart BMS

This BMS is powered by Li-tech and only supports 18s, FM GT and XRC battery configurations. (The XT60 on their batteries are reversed, be mindful!)

Max charge amps - 5a

60a fuse

Connection Orders;

DISCONECTION - Balance leads first (white connectors), followed by XT60's (Yellow connectors).

CONNECTION - XT60's first, followed by Balance Leads. Never lead balance leads connected by themselves.

This BMS is not configurable.

  • The Superflux HS / HT (optional)
  • Superflux Mounting Blocks / Hardware kit for GT (optional)
  • Superflux Female Connector (optional)
  • A stock GT motor connector (optional)
  • GTFO Tool Kit

Our kit also comes with a toolkit. It includes;

-A T9 Security Bit

-A 2mm S2 Hex Bit

-A T25 Security Bit

-A PH1 Phillips Bit

-A T20 Security Bit

-A Socket Wrench for these bits

-A Wrench for the Axle Bolts
